These cookies have a history, the recipe goes way back. They are a version of Pan de Barco, which was a crumbless bread that sailors kept for long periods of time on their ocean voyages. As an anecdotal fact, in several countries of America where the bread arrived by boat, it was part of the diet of its inhabitants.
They are a perfect substitute for bread to prepare canapés, as they do not get wet over the hours, being delicious and crunchy.
Origin: Galicia
Ingredients: Wheat flour, butter (10%) (milk), salt, barley malt extract, emulsifier: IP soy lecithin, barley malt flour, yeast.
Store in a cool, dry place.
